Buckwheat is a seed rather than a grain with a slightly nutty and earthy flavour that works well in both sweet and savoury dishes. Our buckwheat is organically grown and has been hulled to remove its inedible husk, leaving the nutritious whole seed intact. It makes a nourishing base for granola, can be used as an alternative to rice or added to soups and salads.
Cooking Instructions:To cook, add 2 cups of water to every 1 cup of buckwheat groats to a pot. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, then cover and reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes or until tender. Drain any excess liquid, then serve.
