Organic Jumbo Oats
Jumbo rolled oats can be used in a myriad of ways. Whip up a thick and tasty porridge by adding your favourite milk to a cup of oats. Simply use double the amount of liquid to oats, bring to the boil and simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Top it with fresh yoghurt and seasonal fruit to serve, as well as a small dollop of honey or maple for a little extra sweetness. You can also use jumbo oats to make bircher muesli, soaking them in liquid overnight alongside your choice of dried fruits, nuts and seeds. Bircher is delicious when served with a homemade jam, a sprinkling of cinnamon, yoghurt and grated apple. Oats are also useful in homemade bread, muffins and the classic Anzac biscuit. For a winter warming fruit crumble, use oats with desiccated coconut and maple syrup for a lovely, crunchy topping to contrast the warm, soft fruity base.
